SalesLogix Administrator issues

fiogf49gjkf0d Hi folks,
I am starting to work with SalesLogix and I'm facing two problems at the moment. At first I want to add a new user for me and for future testing purposes. Unfortunately when opening the SLX Administrator the buttons "Users", "Teams", "Library" and "Bundles" are inactive. What are possible reasons for that and how can you solve it?
Also there's one invalid license (10 named web users) which can't be deleted because it's "currently in use". How can I "unuse" it? |

fiogf49gjkf0d Did you login as Admin ? (not yourself) - if you login as a user into Admin you must have an admin role. Doesn't sound like you do. Use Admin instead. |

fiogf49gjkf0d I logged in as admin (I think it's the build in one). Does it also work if the password is just plain blank? |

fiogf49gjkf0d Sounds like you don't have a valid license installed - if this was a copy of the original then the licenses should be there. Although, if it warns you at the start of login that you don't have enough licenses for the users created then that's why it's "stuck" here. You'll need to retire some users until they user count is below the count of licenses installed. |

fiogf49gjkf0d Ah okay. I tested it in our test VM and changed the computer date to last year. All of a sudden all the licenses became valid again and the Administrator Tool worked properly. I think we have to speak to Sage again to get some valid licenses.
Thanks a lot! |
