We're using a fairly old version of SalesLogix LAX (7.5.4).  We want some users to be able to log into SalesLogix and view the data, but not change anything.  Using the individual security permissions, I can prevent people from creating new accounts, tickets, etc, but trying to make everything read-only by switching people to the Read-Only profile does not seem to work at all.  Someone with that profile can still make edits to existing form data.  Am I missing something?  How can I make the system truly read-only?

Could it be that the owner of the Accounts is set to 'Everyone' ? If so, Security Profiles do not apply to accounts owned by Everyone.
