Send SLX not saving emails

fiogf49gjkf0d Any thoughts on this? I have a user with Outlook 2000 SP3, and SLX v7.0.1. The SendSLX button is there, and functions when you click it (the email is sent), but nothing is saved in SLX. No errors. However, if I highlight an email in his inbox, and click the "Save to History" button the the toolbar, I get the error: Method 'MAPIOBJECT' not supported by automation object. I've run the InstallOutlookIntegration.bat again, and not change. Thoughts? Thanks in advance. Rob |

fiogf49gjkf0d I do know that there are some issues with earlier versions of Outlook 2000. I'd suggest to run an office update to get to the latest SP for Outlook. |

fiogf49gjkf0d The problem is actually that Sage decided to stop supporting Office 2000 mid-version. SP4 it's supported but in SP6 it's not. The fix requires you finding the SP4 slmn.dll and using that one, as the slxab.dll works relatively fine even up until v7.
I'm all for ditching Office 2000, but dropping it mid-version is bad form in my book. |

fiogf49gjkf0d Using the dll is an "officially" supported mechanism for office2k. This info was made available to partners via a webinar. v7.0 supports office 2k and you use the v7.0 version of the dll w/v7.0.1
They did not drop support.. just went into a "lapse" for a few weeks

| We are running SLX version 6.2.6, and the SendSLX button records emails to history when sent using admin, but I cannot get the email to save to history when signed in as another user. I have looked through the Administrator, but cannot find any settings that give the user the ability to save emails to history upon pressing the SendSLX button. I should also note that Outlook 2003 is being used by everyone. Any thoughts? |

Is Citrix involved in this at all? The Send SLX button sends a file to ..\%username%\\Application Data\\SalesLogix\\Outlook\\TempMailDir - this directory is polled by the SLX Client when it is opened. I have found that the history writing is not immediate; you'll need at least a hard refresh. |

| We run TS as opposed to Citrix. I am fairly familiar with the process that goes on when the SendSLX button is selected. What I don't understand is why this would work for one user but not another. Does the SendSLX button attach the message to history by default? Is there a way to enable/disable the attachment process? |

| As long as you have Advanced Outlook Integration enabled I believe that it writes to history by default. There is no separate option to turn just that feature on or off. |
