Filtering contact lookups and creating a new main view for candidates

buy low dose naltrexone canada low dose naltrexone buy fiogf49gjkf0d We have added recruiting and HR functionality to Saleslogix which essentially added a new entity call Candidates.
Candidates are stored in the same table as contacts and are both accessible by HR. Candidates have a flag in the CEI_ContactDetails table that identifies their records as candidates. What I want to do is filter all contact lookups to exclude candidates and create the same set of lookups for candidates that filter out contacts. I'm hoping that I don't have to go and code a new set of lookups, but I suspect that is the only way.
We have created a new Contact Details form for recruiting and HR that is geared toward candidates, but when they lookup contacts, the same for is used. I'd like to create a new main view for candidates, but still need many of the tabs (i.e. activities, notes/history, etc...) from the contacts form.
Any insight in to have to achieve either of these would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you, ...Rob

fiogf49gjkf0d First of all, for filtering all contact lookups, there's no easy way to do this. You'll have to add that condition to all contact lookup controls (or code that launches the lookups). This is not going to be a fun task
For creating a new MainView, that's not too difficult, but adding things like activities/history/attachments/etc/and other ootb things that exist for contacts is not trivial. This is not an easy thing to do since there's just some things missing for adding these kinds of things easily to MainViews. Maybe you could just change the look/feel of the contact detail screen based on the flag that indicates the contact is a candidate? |

fiogf49gjkf0d Hey Thanks Ryan,
I figured there wasn't an easy way to do this. Am I to understand correctly that there is a way though, to add that condition to the already existing standard lookup controls? If so could you point me in the proper direction please??? From the menus, it seems that all standard lookups are processed through a function.
