Citrix Published Application and Print Screen error
Posted: 29 Jun 07 9:45 AM

Running SLX 7.1 in a Citrix 4.0 Presentation server farm. End users run SLX as as a published application and recieve an error when they attempt to use the File -> Print Screen or Print Settp option with SLX. This happen when printing to a network print or a locally attached printer. I've tried using the Screwdriver software without any luck. The farm setup allows for printing to locally attached printers. All other print task complete without issues. Error: An unusual error has occurred when executing File:PrintSetup. Contact your administrator. 0x1 @0 function File PrintSetup:execption. Exception EPrinter. There is no default printer currently selected. Exception location [00449ac3]{saleslogix.exe} |

This should be your solution to the issue above - see my canned notes below:
This happens when there are 5 or more local printers - gives error An unusual error has occurred when executing file:printsetup. contact your system administrator. 0x1 @0; function file:printsetup exception: there is no default printer currently selected
-------------------------------
This looks like a Citrix setting that is configured when publishing the application. By default the setting is enabled. Under "Client options" (Citrix SalesLogix.tif) in Citrix there is a check box labeled "Printing: Start this application without waiting for printers to be created." which is enabled by default. If this box is checked and the client has 5 or more printers installed, the error is shown (error.tif) when clicking "File - Print Setup". On each of the clients a default printer is selected, although I have no idea why the situation changes when a 5th printer is installed.
