I am getting an error on a new XP SP3 machine.

It will not connect to the SLXServer..... so I am getting the error of: Login Failed; Can not connect to SLXServer.......

This is the first SP3 machine I've done. I am installing 7.2.2.

When I go into the Datalink properties it does find the server but does not find the connections. I've deleted and recreated the connection and datalink several times.

Check the Firewall on the machine - disable temporarily. SP3 shouldn't be any different to normal - have it running just fine on sites.

Being that it's a NEW XP SP3 machine, did you install the native SQL client? I often forget to install it and run into this problem.

Did Microsquish ever release the "fix" for the VBScript problem w/SP3?
AFAIK.. no... That's why I won't put SP3 on any of my systems.

I got it to work. The problem with was the image created. We just uninstalled and installed from the DVD and then applied the service pack.

The image had SP2 applied to it... but when you bring the login screen is still said 7.2.0... so that turned on a light bulb. Thanks for the support.
