I need some help with the default outlook integration. You know the “Send SLX” button and those things. About a month ago one of our sales people’s “record to history” and “Send SLX” buttons disappeared. I have done a lot of things I have even tried to reinstall both Outlook and SLX. And yes I tried the InstallOutlookIntagration.exe. If anyone has any suggestions other then just reformatting her machine could you please help.

All of what you are talking about is part of one dll: SLMN.DLL
This dll is located in PF/SalesLogix.

Right out of my KB:

NOTE: This has nothing to do with SalesLogix Intellisync Integration

1 - In order to Install or Repair the Send Slx/Save to History, etc buttons in Outlook you need to be completely out of SalesLogix and Outlook.
There are two ways to do this:
A - Log out of SalesLogix and Outlook (and any applications using Outlook)
B - Reboot the pc and do not start any applications

2 - Now go the the SalesLogix Application directory (typically C:\Program Files\SalesLogix)

3 - Located the file named InstallOutlookIntegration.bat

4 - Edit the file by simply doing a Right Mouse Button (RMB) on the file and then select Edit (2nd item) off the popup menu using the Left Mouse Button

5 - You should now see the following 2 lines in notepad.exe (or your default text editor):
regsvr32.exe slxab32.dll
regsvr32.exe slmn.dll

6 - Edit the file so that it looks like this:
regsvr32.exe /u slxab32.dll
regsvr32.exe /u slmn.dll
regsvr32.exe slxab32.dll
regsvr32.exe slmn.dll

7 - Exit and save

8 - Double-click on the InstallOutlookIntegration.bat file

9 - It should pop up a message box.. click OK.. this may happen 4 times

10 - Log into SalesLogix and Outlook - all the buttons/menus should be there

You also need to check to see if there are other outlook addins that might not play well with others.

If you look in the outlook add ins and see the saleslogix ones, try removing the most recently added one and see if saleslogix doesn't come back.

Microsoft Outlook add ins are hidden in different menus in different versions... best bet is to dig around until you find it.

Thanks Bob. that worked great. Apparently outlook decided that SLX developer was spam so I did not know you replied until today. but I tried it on my computer and it worked. Also for what ever reason another person here's buttons were fixed after setting up intellisync.
