This question is aimed at remotes running MDSE, though applies also to SQL Server Express.

While the host SLX database can have maintenance plans etc to ensure that it remains optimised, does anyone know what happens to the remote databases? Are there any jobs running automatically to perform defrag / index optimisation / shrink etc?

If not, has anyone tackled the issue and found a way to get scheduled SQL db maint tasks running on remote users' PCs?

Thanks
Phil

There are no jobs running on the remote(s).

Except for remote office systems. I don't ever bother to do any special optimization on remotes.

The db is in "simple" model and set to auto-shrink. .. that is all..
