We are currently running SalesLogix 7.2.1 on MSDE 2000 (build 8.00.760) and are looking to upgrade to full SQL (on the same server).

Are there recommendations on which version to go with? Is it too early to consider 2008? Is the Standard edition fine?

Is this a pretty clean upgrade, or is there a document somewhere that might give me an idea of what to expect?

SQL2008 is not a supported version for any version of SalesLogix except 7.5 per the Sage SalesLogix Compatability document.

Do you have a link to that document by chance? I haven't been able to find it!

Also, are you aware of any documents available that discuss upgrading a SLX install to a newer SQL?
