We recently made some pretty big changes to our SLX database permissions. I'm trying to cut everyone a new database now. Some have gone well. Today though I seem to get the following at the end of every attempt to create a new database:

[1/8/2010 12:34:08 PM]Error in step: sptDtPmp_Copy_USEROPTIONDEF DTS Data Pump Error at Destination for Row number 340. Errors encountered so far in this task: 1.
[1/8/2010 12:34:09 PM]Error in step: sptDtPmp_Copy_USEROPTIONDEF Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Data Pump The number of failing rows exceeds the maximum specified.

Yep, you have an issue with th useroptiondef table - see 1st line. During the data pump it's failing to insert this into the database table on the new remote database. Use SLX Profiler or SQL trace to identify what the error is (the err above unfortunately doesn't tell you). You should be able to then work backward, fix the issue and re-create without error. Also, ensure the remote db isn't too large (there are inbuilt limits of 2Gb/4Gb for MSDE/SQLExpress).
