Is is possible to copy an opportunity then just edit the other information?

No - not out of the box, your business partner would need to write this (which is feasible to be done from db point of view).

I agree with Mike.

Out of the Box, this is not possible, however it can be built programatically).

And if done, there are several things to consider that will dictate how to get it done:

- Is Synchronization part of the System? (Not a major concern if this is build as an Script within SLX).
- What items need to be kept when copying the Opportunity? (e.g. Contacts, Products, Pricing??)

Again, a BP will be able to help you asses the best way to Design and Implement this functionality.
