Hi all,

I have a potential deal to run SLX with a Oracle 10g database running on a UNIX box. Obviously the SLX Server will be on a Microsoft box. There will be approx 1000 concurrent users.

According to the compatability checklist, this is supported with 6.2 SP1 (and I assume above).

I was just wondering if there were and 'undocumented' issues with this setup that I need to be aware of.

Regards,

Martin

I have run into some trouble when installing SLX with Oracle 9i, with 100 users.
The login time takes about 5-7 minutes for any single client in any time of day.
My installations at that time contains a heavy modifications on core standard modules.
After a while, we decided that it's probably better to run SLX on SQL Server box, and just integrates the data back and forth to the original Oracle installation. And the box was running just fine, with blazingly fast login time compared to my previous setup.

Never really sure what cause that delayed, just wanna give you a heads up from my experience with Oracle and SLX.
Regards,

Dhany
