i'm a newbie.
i have a backup of the production db for slslgx restore to a development db. BUT! i can't connect/link to the Saleslogix_dev db! i've tried "sysdba", "masterkey"...not valid.

since it's been a couple of years since anyone has "touched" the SQL - i may have to go to the consultant who worked on it in 2005? ask whether default password was changed?

any suggestions are appreciated.

You have to fix the orphaned SYSDBA user. The database level SYSDBA login doesn't match up with the server level SYSDBA user.
