Hello everybody.

I have a problem. When I run the Monitor console I have the following error "Can not run two SyncServer (WNM8) for database instances."

Thanks

Bryan,

Try this. Stop the sync service, run syncserver.exe /reset, then start the sync service again.

David,

I have a problem with the server syncronización, when I program a job that runs every 1 minutes does not work.

I Entrance "C:\Program Files\SalesLogix" and run slxMonitorConsole.exe and look at the records of job I get the following error:" Can not run two SyncServer (WNM8) for database instances. "

I did your recommendation, I think the job every 15 minutes but I get the same error.

You can give me another recommendation?

Hi Bryan,

Instead of using the SLX monitor console you can also look at the log files in the following directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SalesLogix\Sync\EventLogs

It sounds like you are having trouble getting your sync server to run in an automated fashion - Am i correct? If so, have you tried running a sync manually?

Hi David,

Thanks for your help.

I entrance to the Synchronization Server, click on Sync Now and synch functioning properly.

I have a problem when running in automatic synchronization with the jobs.

I make your recommendation in the directory: "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SalesLogix\Sync\EventLogs". I am in the directory 2 folders.

1. The first folder is the name of the job created (prueba).
There are several files .LOG . The files are:

M [11/12/2007 15:04:11] Start of Sync Run
M [11/12/2007 15:04:11] Can not run two SyncServer (WNM8) instances for database

2. The second folder has the name WNM8 (Server Syncronization)

There are several files .LOG . The files are:

[20/11/2007 15:50:42] Closing current log file.
[20/11/2007 15:50:43] Refreshing DataDictionary.

-The 1st folder named after the job (prueba) is the log file for the actual job scheduled through the SalesLogix Administrator.
-The 2nd folder named WNM8 is the directory where your manually executed sync jobs log to.

Now,
Login to the SalesLogix Administrator, click on SYSTEMS, SYNC AUTOMATION SERVICES tab. How many service names do you see listed? There should typically only be one.

1- Now, go into that service and disable it.
2- Then go into the windows services console - START- RUN - "services.msc". Stop the SalesLogix Sync Server service.
3- Then reset the sync server - START - RUN - "syncserver.exe /reset".
4- Now go back to the SalesLogix Administrator and ENABLE the sync job again.
5- Finally, go back to services.msc and start the SalesLogix Sync Server service. Make sure that it is running with a domain account that has administrative access to the server.

Let us know if the job still does not run in an automated fashion.

Bryan

With the best will in the world I find it incredible that you would expect anyone to know what you mean here. What screens can't they access, what type of user are they, what is the error etc.

You simply can't post "x doesn't work - discuss" - and expect to get away with it !!

I'm also tired of not winning the lottery - but, as my wife says, you have to actually buy a ticket
