having probs with sysdba user in Saleslogix connection manager
Posted: 03 Jun 08 4:30 PM
I've been setting up a Saleslogix test server (to try version 7.2) I have version 7.01 on my production server. I restored a backup of my production database to the test server. In the Saleslogix connection manager I am not able to add the sysdba user in the Datalink properties. I'm trying to use the same sysdba password that I have on my production server.
Server's OS is Windows 2003 Standard RC2
running SQL 2000 SP4
Any ideas what could be causing this problem?
I was able to get it to connect using the SA user account.

Since the database is restored from a backup (and likely on a test server), your sysdba user is likely orphaned. See this post for help:

Where do you run the sp_change_users_login 'Update_One', 'sysdba', 'sysdba' at?

You run it in Query Analyzer (or SQL Management Studio if on SQL2005). Execute it as 'sa' on the restored database.

Ok I ran it in the Query Analyzer and this was the result
The number of orphaned users fixed by adding new logins and then updating users was 0.
Any other possibilities?
