Can anybody knows if there is a way to install saleslogix client 6.2.6 on windows vista.
Or it is possible to install saleslogix client 7.2 using saleslogix server 6.2.
Please help me a.s.a.p.

No to both currently. SLX 6.2 SP7 is due to support Vista - although that may get pulled. You definitely cannot mix the versions though so don't even try that.

Like Mike Says.. it just does NOT work...

There's no final word on v6.2 sp7 supporting Vista... right now I'd not count on that either.

There IS an sp2 for v7.0 in the works.. (Not yet even beta) but no solid details...

V7.2.1 "supports" BUSINES Vista... BUT if you used ADO enumerations in ANY of your custom code you WILL have to go back and to some repairs:
Either:
1 - Add the SalesLogix db support as an include file
OR
2 - Add in your own.

Vista changed how ADO enumerations are exposed from how it was done in ALL past versions of Windows...
...Thank you Microsoft... for not being backwards compatable...

Since Sage SalesLogix was able to isolate this I'd expect the next 7.2.x release to handle this for us... SP2 for 7.2 will be hitting beta sometime end of Dec.. early January..

Remember.. SalesLogix will only be supporting BUSINESS Vista.. not "home versions".

Can you elaborate on "Add the SalesLogix db support as an include file"?
Sounds too easy...

It's all about the Enumerations that are now declared in the support file.
ex: Const adOpenStatic = 3
Vista has these (Enums) in a place that is NOT the same as all previous versions of Windows.. (thanks Microsquish for breaking things.. again)

By adding the include file everywhere ado enumerations are used, things work on Vista..
