Hi All, ok Windows Server 2003 R2, SLX 7.5. So during the installation of the slx server I get an error 1920. DBEventing service has failed to start, please verify you have sufficient priviliges to start services. Well I am logged in as the local admin to the server so not sure how much more privileges I can have.

So when the message comes up I choose retry and the same error comes up, so click on ignore and the install completes, but, I go to control panel... services and manually start the DBEventing service and it fails to start as well stating the service did not respond in a timely fashion.

So I reboot and same issue can't start the DBEventing service. What is this service for?

Any one else see this or know of a solution?

thanks,

Derek

That service is for Process Orchestration in 7.5 . You do not need it if you aren't using PO (and since you didn't know what it was for I doubt you are using it).

I think the problem may be related to who the service is running as. Check that first.

I do not see it fail in my installs and I do install it.
I have it running as webdll who is in administrator and wp groups.
