I am installing slx 6.2 and sp 3. Admin opens and runs fine. I have manually cycled the sync server just to see if it seems to be working. It seemns fine.

When I try to open Architect, I get the error above. The specified logging path ( \\servername\SLX_LOGS ) has been shared with everyone I can think of -- including Everyone.

What am I missing?

Thanks.

How about Windows Permissions?
Share permissions don't overwrite the File Level ACLs, they get combined.

So, if the file is set so only the Creator can access it, then you share it to Everyone, the result will be that as a Share only the Creator would be able to access it.

* BTW: Openning the Admin doesn't require to have a Logging Path in place (or a valid accessible logging path), otherwise you wouldn't be able to configure it to begin with.

Additionally, if the problem relates to File ACLs, depending on your OS and settings, you may need to reboot the box to get any permissions changes.

Raul, you were right. It was permissions. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
