Hello All,


I have been trying to install Saleslogix (network client) on a workstation which operating system is Windows XP pro with SP3. I have installed the required pre-requistites.


When I attempt to install Saleslogix on this particular machine I get the following error:


Error 1720. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A Script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your package vendor. Custom Action caUpdateInfoCenter.9E632007_872C_8C39


 


I have tried all the suggestions from the Microsoft website and even installed the new Windows Installer package. But no success.


Has anyone else encounted this problem and have found a solution

Are you installing from the Disk or from a Network Share?


I would suggest you make sure to install from a Disk, if not, make sure you got a full copy of the Disk on your Network share (try installing on a different PC).

Thank you for your suggestions


I have tried installing from the 2 different install original discs and from the Sage Softline download centre and still have the same error. It is partcular with the workstation as I have installed on other workstations with the same "media" without problems.


Maybe something wrong with the Windows O.S itself?

Or, maybe something regarding the Pre-Requisites.


Have you looked through the Installation logs? Maybe there are some more entries that could help identify the actual cause of the problem.

I have found the need to blow away the user profile in some cases and that this fixes the issue.


Or simply install under a new profile to validate the option.
