Is it possible to have the client, architect and administrator applications of both 6.2 and 7.0 on the same machine?

No, definitely not (same provider name, different version). You need a VM solution like VMWare or Virtual PC or something like Alteris which "layers" apps.
But, no, they cannot co-exist.

Thanks for that, I've started to try Alteris which seem pretty good so far.
