About SLXSystem.exe as a Windows Service on Citrix structure

fiogf49gjkf0d Hi there,
In the documents about SLX Service Packs, we noticed the following information: ====== In SalesLogix v 6.2.2 and later, you can run the SLXSystem.exe as a Windows Service. This is highly recommended on multi-user systems such as Citrix, Web Server, or Terminal Services. Running SLXSystem.exe as a serviceremoves the startup/shutdown time when the Client creates a connection to a database using the SLXSystem.exe.After installing the service pack, you must shut down the current SLXSystem.exe in Task Manager and run a command line to install the application as a service. ====== Our system structure is also SalesLogix Server(Lan version 6.2.3) + Citrix(a SalesLogix Cilient on the separate Citrix Server and all our users use the SalesLogix Client). We'd like to get and/or share some information and/or experience about it from you. Thanks in advance.

fiogf49gjkf0d Jordan, what is your question? If you are running Terminal Server (Citrix or not) you must run the SLXSystem.exe as a service. Just follow the directions. If you are asking something else, please elaborate.
Thank you,
Timmus |

fiogf49gjkf0d Thanks Timmus. I have no specicific questions now. We have a Citrix Server. We installed a SLX Client and set up SLXSystem.exe as a Windows Service on the Citrix Server. We have no much experience and don't know much about it either. We'd like get some info about its advantages and disadvantages as well as how to maintain it. |
