Hi all,

Trying to install the client for 6.23 on a server so that I can then use the SalesLogix adapter in Scribe. When I try to install it, I always get the error in the subject, and the client will not launch -- just shows the same error. I've installed it on another server, and numerous PC's, and never seen this before. A Google search returned that I ought to make sure that mapi32.dll is in System32, and it is.

From the sounds the server has the Microsoft Time Zone patch installed. The was the only time I've seen this error on installing the client.

Download the SLX Time Zone workaround, apply it and then try again.

Presto! We have that update (the time zone path) blocked from automatically applying via Windows Update, but since this is a development box with lots of fingers in it I guess someone manually applied it. Thanks for your help!

Glad to hear that worked. We also have that patch blocked, but we have users with laptops that sometimes like to update things from outside the network. So we've had a couple instances where its gotten through.
