remote user sync problemsYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

Hi

I have got a user who has problems to synchronize since last week. When we do a test synch, system says the test is successfull however when we have a look in the administrator, we see that no file has been applied since the 8th of aug. Note that the other remote users have no problem to synchronize so I assume it is not a problem with the sync server.

Any idea of what the problem is? or what I could check on his laptop??

Please not We are in 6.2.6 version

Thanks for your help.

Look in the users local machine under "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SalesLogix\Sync\Infiles". If you are not executing a sync on the client at the time and there are files in this folder then the remote database most likely needs to be replaced.

In order for the host to apply a file from the remote, changes have to be made on the remotes. At the remote, add a new contact for a new account, then sync the remote and see if the new account shows up on the host.

When was the last time you cut a database for this remote?

Hi

The last database I cut was in april when we did the upgrade fron 6.1 to 6.2.6. and the user had no problem until last week.

But now It seems that his database is corrupted.

Thanks

I would do a test on the users hard disk before you put a replacement database on their machine.

Hi

For info problem was due to the MSSSQL server locked on the laptop.

It has been rebooted and now it's OK

Regards
Christelle

Hi

still have problems with the synchronization.

When we connect via our internal network, synchronization is working fine, but when connecting 'externally', synchronization is not working.

We can open SLX, we open the sync window and then when we run the sync, nothing happens: the sync window is frozen...

Any idea

Thanks in advance for your help

Seems like a Connectivity issue.

Test connectivity based on your Sync Profile:

If you are using Network Sync, try to the share by typing its path on a Windows Explorer window.
If you are using FTP, try connecting to the FTP manually

The results of these tests might indicate to you wether you are having name resolution issues, or just not able to access the server
