Remote User Cannot open pdf files inside remote db library
Posted: 04 Sep 07 3:07 PM
I have a remote user who can't open pdf files from the library. We are running SLX 626HF1. I browsed out to c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\SalesLogix\library and can confirm he cannot open it this way either. It is as if there is some sort of disassociation of the file type-even though he has the same Adobe acrobat installed as I do on a test remote machine here. What could be the problem? How can I correct this? He is the only remote user with the issue. BTW- we've already re-installed Adobe- this did not work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Michele,
It sounds like there is a problem with adobe on the troubled machine since you can not open the file even from the file system.
If you think there is some sort of disassociate of the file type then try re-seating it. TOOLS - FOLDER OPTIONS - FILES TYPES tab - scroll down to and select PDF - click CHANGE - BROWSE to ACRORD32.exe or ACROBAT.exe in the Program Files - click OPEN and OK out of the menus.
