Hi,
Since a few days our automatic synchronization configured in Administrator seems not to work (doesnt start?). The SyncService is up and running, nothing has changed in the configuration since a month...Server reboot didnt help.
But manual Sync with SyncServer does work without problem.

Any ideas? Are there any locations /points I can start my problem search?

Hi there,

I am battling with the same problem. In my case this is a new setup, and automatic synchronisation never worked. The SalesLogix Synchronisation service is running (and successfully restarts).

In the Administrator under Systems - Sync Automation Services, my service is there with 1 job. The job looks at the correct database and sync server, and is set to sync all data. It is enabled, and set to run every day at 10 minute intervals.

I do not know what else to check, so I would also really appreciate some ideas.

hmmm seems another server restart helped here...

but compared to you: it already worked before the problem occured. no idea what was the cause of this.

Have you tried running the Sync Service via a domain account? Under Services, edit the Saleslogix Synronization service, click on the Log on tab. Try putting in a domain account that has admin access on the Application, database and Sync server.

Thanks for the suggestion, Kirk.

I agree that it is the best to use a domain account for the sync server service

I should have posted this - the sync started working without any forther intervention. Unfortunately I have no idea what changed to cause this.

The logon user was the domain admin account, as I needed that for agents.

Which version are you guys on? I have a similar problem on v7.0.1.

I am on v7.0.1.1069

The problem does seem to resolve itself with time, but it is a very strange issue indeed, so if we can find out what the cause is, it will be really great. Let us know what happens with your issue
