Synchronization with a remote officeYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

Hi, I need some advice:
I have a remote office with SalesLogix installed (on a remote office) and is working fine. But I need (add) the Synchronization (server) to this.
(1) Is this possible?
(2) if this is possible, which I tired (doing the installation) I get an error message: "you cannont run this program on a remote data-base.

your input is greatly appreciated

Derek

Hi Derek
The Sync Server only works on the central host. Many people have thought it would be good to have remote notebooks able to sync to a remote office, but in reality:
1. It would add another overhead and management task
2. It is not really necessary if your central sync server and the remote office are firing on reasonably high frequencies. We have our sync server running on the hour and half hour, with the remote offices running on the quarter and three-quarter hour marks. Works fine
