WGLogs Folder empty

Hi,
I have copied the productive System (6.2.6) to a new test server and adjusted the sync options.
Everything works except one thing: The WGLogs-Folder is never filled; I can change what I want, there is no data written to it. Sync from remote to the test server works fine (Infiles).
Any ideas where to look for? - Sync is reconfigured - SLXSynchronistation task is running - Remote users with valid subscriptions do exist - Everyone has full rights on shared folder
Thanks! Marty |

Do you have any network users?
The WGLog folder applies to network users. Also, if you log into the Administrators, any changes you make will also generate files on the WGLogs folder.

Have you cycled (stopped and started) the SalesLogix servers on the server box? If they are not restarted they will use the old paths.
Does the old WGLogs folder still exist? Even if you think it doesn't exist, physically check to make sure. If it does check if the logs are going there.
If the above is true check the systeminfo, branchoptions and syncserver tables to make sure all of the paths specified in those tables are pointing to the new location.

Hi Raul, Yes yes, i have network users. And I used some of them to alter some data, add accounts et et. There is as well no temporary file in WGLogs folder. |

Hi John, I have restarted the box a dozen times
The old WGLogs still exists, yes, it is the productie environment. I copied this environment to a new test environment. But the logs aren't there. All tables you mentioned checked, all set to new testserver. In original folder there are no logs from new test server. Marty |

Marty:
The Network clients wouldn't be able to log in without creating a file on the WGLogs folder if it is defined. I would suggest that you do the following: - Query the database directly to check what your logging path is: SELECT SERVERPATH FROM SYNCSERVER - Review Connection Manager and Review the user's Database Alias to make sure that they are connecting to the correct SLX Environment. - Run ProcessMonitor and check where the File is being created. You can downloaded from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx |

Raul, thanks for the idea with sisinternals, didnt think about that. (the config you mentioned is setup correctly btw)
I get many "open-file" entries from SLXLoggingService to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SalesLogix\Sync\QUEUEFiles
but not a single to the WGLogs-Folder.
SyncService.exe is not doing any file action (but i checked with productive system, there the SLXLoggingService is creating the WGLogs Files what surprises me a bit). SyncService.exe is doing some network traffic (localhost:41198 -> localhost:2147 and vice versa) but not more.
seems strange... |
