Change of Notes History sync doesn't send past data

We have a client that has SLX 7.0 that has remote sync users. They discovered that one of their users was not seeing notes/history past a certain date.
In the Administrator it appears that someone set the Notes/History Filter for all the items to 180 days, whereas all other users were not checked and getting all dates.
We have unchecked the filters on the user, and after several syncs he still isn't seeing the Notes/History prior to that 180 days (ie 2005 notes).
Shouldn't it send the user all the proper data once the values are changed in the Administration?
How do we rectify this problem?
Thanks,

Hi Laurie
The "Number of Days" filter is used twice, and only twice, in SalesLogix:
1. It is used when a new database is being created (Admin: Tools | Create Remote Client Database), to determine how many days of history to put into the database to start with
2. It is used in the optional facility to purge history entries older than that number of days at the end of each sync cycle at the remote client end.
When a sync server cycle runs, it simply sends out NEW history records. It never tries to work out whether any older ones need to be sent too. Therefore, if you increased the number of days, or removed the checkbox saying that a number of days limit needs to be imposed, the ONLY way to then catch up the remote's history contents is to re-cut the remote database (thus invoking option 1 above).
Hope that helps

Hi Rousell,
Thanks for the confirmation. That is what I was thinking we would have to do.
This user is on the East Coast, and we have a slot lan.
Just curious, when I package a Remote Database, can I send it on a DVD for him to unpack? What would I have to package with it (ie attachments, library, etc.)???
Thanks
