We moved a Database Server from DBServer1 to DBServer4, and when we try to update the Connections in the Exchangelink 8.0 utility, we get this message.

All the settings are right.  any ideas?

I would do the following:

- Stop Exchange Link

- Stop the SLX System (if not running as a Service, kill it from Task Manager).

- Start the SLX System Service (again, if configured to run as a Service, otherwise omit this step)

- Start Exchange Link

Unable to Initialize Data Dictionary could also mean that it cannot talk to the SQL server, so there may be other issues at hand (e.g. Name resolution, Connectivity, etc), but at the very least you should start by recycling SLX System as indicated above.
