Hello,

You know how you have to click UPDATE in the LAN client if you update an attachment and want it to sync?  A customer of ours is annoyed to tears over this because they update a lot of documents and they're pretty much using this as a means to manage Opportunity-related documents shared by multiple users.  Sage's response is that's just the way it works.  I'm assuming it's this way because once the document is passed off to the OS to be opened by the pertinent application, it becomes somewhat difficult to know when the document has changed without monitoring it continuously.  Has anyone ran into a complaint about this aspect of SLX LAN and come up with a clever solution to prevent the user from having to remember which documents they've updated and to click the UPDATE button?  Thanks in advance.

Well.....we took away the ability to update an attachment entirely. Each VERSION of the doc must be saved as a new document......no updating and writing over an attachment!

How do you like them apples?!

Dipped in caramel?  Well, your suggestion sounds about right.  Wish there was more that could be done here.  Thanks for the feedback, RJ.

P.S. Any ideas on why I didn't receive an email notification from your response?  I have the "Notify me when someone replies to this post" option checked.  I just happened to check it just now.
