Hello,
We have some problems with synchro SalesLogix (7.2.2).
When we start the synchro, it's ok for 1 or 2 times... After, we have this error :
Error reading file: C:\DOCUME~1\ALLUSE~1\APPLIC~1\SALESL~1\Sync\EVENTL~1\SyncTask\062008111209946.log I/O error 103

I have checked the anti-virus software to disable scan of this folder and other extension file (*.mdf, *.ldf, *.log).
The sync Transfer Profil is "Network Sync Transport v1.1"
The server is Windows 2003 Small Business Server Service pack 2
The user (administrator) is administrator of the machine.
I don't understand...
Who can help me ?

Hi, I'd like to report the same issue, saleslogix 7.2 with sync server. we are using FTP sync, but if you are hvaing the problem via network i guess the FTP server is not to blame I believe its to do with the embedded database sizes that come with a variety of M$ products (ISA, Exchange etc)

I am going to follow this procedure http://support.microsoft.com/?id=909636 and i will report success (or not) .

Actually.. since your profile says you are a SalesLogix BP, you can search the on-line SalesLogix KB off the support site. Look for "103" and you will see a possible solution there.

Possible Resolution 1:

1. Stop the sync service
2. Reset the sync configuration
3. Start the sync service

Possible Resolution 2:

This error may be resolved by rebooting the machine. In numerous cases, a complete uninstall and reinstall of all SalesLogix applications on the machine may need to be performed.

Note: Compression of hard drives can cause an inability to sync and may cause sync to generate this error.

how do you reset the sync configuration? Is it that way that you just 1. stop the sync service, 2. disable sync automation service job, 3. reset the syncserver, 4. enable sync automation service job, 5. start the sync service
