Hi All

I am having an issue with creating a remote cut for a particular user (tried with other users and works fine).  It starts the creation process and then ends with one of the following errors (not exact wording)

• DB (name) is already in use


• Unable to attach remote DB

There are various other errors that we have had but can't remember exact details.  As said earlier this is only happening for one user. 

Any help appreciated

Check on your SQL server.

It is likely that the DB for that user, from a Previous try didn't get detached.

So, you should check that out first, if you find a DB for the user, delete it and try again.

If you get further messages, you will need to troubleshoot them as they appear, always find the first message shown, as typically the first error generates a set of cascading errors that also get logged.

We are also facing same issue how to delete the db?

Have your DBA go into the SQL Server Management Studio Express, select the database, RMB and delete it.

Is the Database system SQL?

If it is then open the SQL database system and detach the 'remote' database. Then try and run the Saleslogix Attach database function again. If that doesnot work then open the SQL system again and use the Attach database function in SQL to attach the 'remote' database. To do this you will need both the .sxd and log file.

If you need more details then let me know. I have found that after doing the attach database manully through SQL then the next attach database using the Saleslogix function works.
