Hi,

I have just installed SLX 7.5 SP2 on two different pcs, both with same problem:

SQL2005 Express was installed within the Sage-MSI-installer.
Attaching a remote worked fine.

Using same windows-user (local admin): After second(?? - first it wasn't...) start of Remote Client I get the error-message "You must be the database owner or "Admin" to use this application.".

But: Clicking OK and then logging in into SLX works fine.

Do you have any idea what this error means? Could there be an options/configuration-problem when creating the remote database?

addition:

using SQLCMD on SALESLOGIX instance reveals:
1> EXEC sp_helplogins
2> go
LoginName DBName UserName UserOrAlias
------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -----------
sysdba SLXRemote db_owner MemberOf
sysdba SLXRemote sysdba User
.....

So for me it seems sysdba is the owner.

Maybe this isnt connected to the SQL DB at all?? I have no idea...

Check for Password Policy of sysdba user.

Reset password for sysdba password.

It works for me!
