Sync Service not working

I have now run into another sync problem with SalesLogix 5.2 Following are the error messages I have got .. Please help:
Sync Server Error: --------------------
M|15-Oct-06 16:30:06|Start of Sync Run M|15-Oct-06 16:30:06|Unable to connect to database: Unknown user name or password. Login failed for user 'sysdba'. Login incorrect. Alias: CurrentDB
Event Viewer Error: -------------------- Event Type: Information Event Source: SlxSyncService Event Category: None Event ID: 0 Date: 10/15/2006 Time: 4:30:16 PM User: N/A Computer: SYNCSRV Description: The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( SlxSyncService ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: Updating Job Queue. JobID: 0 StartAfter: 10/15/2006 4:35:00 PM DOW Mask: MTWHFSU.

fiogf49gjkf0d Was the password for the SYSDBA user changed?
Was the BDEAlias that the SyncService uses to connect to the database changed?
How long since your syncserver was rebooted? |

1)Sysdba password for not changed. 2) I did create one more BDEAlias for testing purposes, but the original BDE Alias is still there and I am able to connect to the database using BDEAlias. 3)Syncserver has been rebooted pretty often, I did reboot it yesterday too.

fiogf49gjkf0d Did your problem start right after you created the additional BDEAlias?
The error message is very specific. Sounds like the SyncService or SyncServer is not able to authenticate.
Can you run the syncserver manually? |

fiogf49gjkf0d No, the problem was prior BDE changes. I can't remember what started this.
But, when I tried to re-enter theSyncPassword in the registry, the SyncService started WORKING... I have no clue how that changed.
