Alternate FTP Site connection problem - Remote offices

Hi,
We are trying to test a backup FTP server in case our primary one fails. Here is what we are encountering:
The primary site works well both for our local and remote offices. However, when we test it by cutting access to our primary site, locally our server goes to the alternate site but our remote offices dont. They fail upon connection and do not attempt retries like instructed in the slx administrator. Why aren't the remote offices going through the alternate ftp site? Is there configuration information not being passed to the remote offices to let it know that there is a backup ftp route?
Any help would be appreciated.

It works 100% of the time IF:
a - you use IP addresses
b - there are no DNS issues on name resolution
Sounds like the RO needs to have it's stp replaced.
In the Admin.. export the stp for the RO and them import it on the RO... exit the RO app and then start it up again.
It's all in the help files on how to replace/update an stp (Sync Transfer Profile).

When you say export and import the stp, can you elaborate a bit more on how to do this?
I checked the help files for help but I didnt find anything related to this.
We are running version 7 of slx. |

But it is there ...
Fire up the Administrator client and search for stp in Help - that will tell you how to extract a particular STP.
Do the same search in the Sales client and you will find detail of how to import a STP. |
