I setup a new user and we are doing the first sync down to the Blackberry and we are getting this error in the server administrator log.

Unable to sync 'contact', reason: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

Has anyone ever seen this or know how to fix.

Erik,

How many contacts does the user have access to. Generally this is a long running query that is executing. In the settings you can set the timeout period to extend the length but I would be good to know the number of accounts/contacts involved.
