Sync Schedule

Is there any way to setup periodic sync using real time services? We have a user group that is concerned with battery life on devices and real-time syncs using up battery faster than normal... We have suggested either realtime sync or manual only syncing, but they inquired about setting up a "twice daily" autosync or something similar. Is it possible? These are PPC users, not BB.
Thanks, Todd |

AutoSync on the client side (I'm assuming that's what you mean) can be set for different time delays. By default it's set to sync every 30 minutes. I'm assuming that's too frequently. Depending on how much data is updated and how large the remote databases are (as well as battery life in your case) should determine how often a user syncs. |

Is autosync available on mobile clients now? I am assuming you are talking about remote client sync? Sorry, I should have made it more clear, I am looking at Pocket PC mobile users for asking about this. |

Todd, The Pocket PC version does not include push synchronization services. On the BlackBerry side they do indeed exist but the frequency is of the synchronization is not schedule based as much as time from last sync based. I.E. every 20 minutes.

My bad...I subscribe to the RSS feed and I didn't realize your question was related to the mobile version. |
