Does anyone have a recommendation for a maximum size slx mobile db on a BB 8830?

Hey Mark,

What do you mean by recommended size of the database. The DB grows to the size it needs based on the data synced down. Size usage is determined by the tables, and number of rows in each table.

Yes - documentation I have found states a BB can handle 10000 account records with an average of 8 contacts per record. So if the user has a db twice that size will there be a performance hit on the BB or in the slxmobile sync?

Mark, the more data you sync on your BlackBerry the more memory you will exhaust and the potential downside is that the Device software will start clearing what it considers non-essential data such as emails, phone logs ..... The database engine is not that robust either so as more information is loaded there is potential for slowdown. That is why there are things like subscription in the latest versions to try to give the opportunity to the user to limit what needs to be initally synced and what can be retrived in the future as needed.
