I'm having some issues configuring this. I know I need to go flag the tables in the server2client map, save, rebuild and deploy the blackberry_7 client. When I try to build after flagging those tables, I get an error "ANT directory was not found. ANT_HOME ...."

We have been pure windows in a trial mode, but are trying BB now to get the realtime sync feature. Do I need RIM files installed on the mobile server to do the build or something? I can't find any good info for this setup in Mobile 5.0.1

Hi Todd,

Have you installed the additional pre-requisites for your Blackberry Development environment? Apache Ant and Antenna are needed aswell as the system environment variables which specify the ANT_HOME directory. On the CD, look in SalesLogixMobile-EnterpriseEdition\Architect folder. There is a Dev setup guide with the details.

Regards

Thanks for the reply Jonathan. I did not have a full pre-requisite site setup on the customer PRODUCTION servers...
As it turns out, on 5.0.1 this becomes a requirement to turn on real-time sync, since you have to rebuild and deploy the OOB client system in order to enable realtime. This also means we'd have to give considerations around signature files. So, we ended up getting together a client system with the flags turned on in a package and applying it to the Prod server. I guess 5.1 allows for realtime to be turned on without having to build/deploy so that is an improvement for those who can get there easily.
