6.2 to 7.2, Field type changeYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

The below text is from upgrade document:
Fields that contain only dollar amounts, and are currently float or real data types, are being changed
to a number data type with the precision and scale of 17,4. Several Create Field bundle actions
generate these changes. The actions cannot be completed by the server if there are primary or
foreign key constraints or unique indexes on the tables being modified. If any of these conditions exist
for the following tables, the keys and indexes should be removed before the SalesLogix v6.2.x to 7.0
Upgrade bundle is applied.
• ACCOUNT • CAMPAIGN • CONTRACT • CONTRACTINCIDENT • LEADSOURCE • LITERATURE • OPPORTUNITY • OPPORTUNITY_PRODUCT • PRODUCT • PRODUCTPROGRAM • QUOTA

My Question:
Do we need to remove Keys/index on the above tables before installing upgrade bundle
--OR--
We need to remove only if Keys/index exists on a float/real type field
--OR--
Can we ignore this for now and handle only if the installation fails

Thanks in advance...

I would expect that all RTM indexes would be addressed during the upgrade. The warning would refer to any custom indexes or constraints that might have been added. If there are none, then this should not be a concern.

Thanks Carvin!

What you mean by RTM indexes, is it fields default to SalesLogix database?
So we have to take care only the fields which has cusom index and its type is float/real. Am I correct?

RTM = Release to Market: Indexes that are part of the standard SLX install. I would't worry about those. If there are custom indexes that include currency fields I would remove those.
