Getting hastled to apply this upgrade as it fixes a few issues.

Already running the client on my vista machine (having not upgraded the database), works well.

I'm concerned (having never performed a slx upgrade) that the service pack's bundle (when applied) will overwrite all our customised plugins.

Am I going to have to go through all the updated plugins and manually re-write the custom code into them????

Thanks in advance.

Greg

If you check the service pack - you will find toward the bottom all of the scripts/forms etc. that changed for SP2. As you are already running SP1 - you *only* need to apply this part. Hence, you only need to *check* these items and re-do the mods or re-release the old version (not recommended).

Ah I see it now . That cuts down the work load greatly. Thanks

I dont suppose anyone knows whether there are any developer release notes depicting the exact changes made between versions? I'm not looking forward to checking all the objects and the code, and file comparison tools will be a pain due to the amount of modifications we've made to the originals.

Thanks

Yes, accompanying that SP will be a doc - in there at the end is all the changes (right down to object changes !)

Brilliant, thanks. Looks like our reseller forgot to add it to the zip file. Got it now.

Thanks again

Sorry for all this.

I was wondering (now that I have the change log) whether I could get away with making those changes to our current plugins rather than redoing our changes to the 7.0.2 plugins? It'd be much quicker as we've done some serious customization!

Thanks

Greg

Yes Greg, you can either merge the Sage changes into your customized plugins or merge your customizations into the Sage stock plugins. You most certainly want to take the path of least resistance .

Great! Thanks

Sorry for the delay... All went well, and thanks to the minimal amount of updates in the SP, didnt take me too long.
