Record to history button in outlook

We recently upgraded to 7.2 and we now have the Record to History button in the outlook tool bar instead of Send SLX. Is there a way you can make the button appear on reply or new email window in outlook?

It was on the prior version too - nothing to do with the upgrade.
SendToHistory - enables you to take any email in your inbox/sentitems/public folders etc and record to History. On creation of a new email - you have the SendSLX button - which is used exclusively to send directly to history when sending an email. |

Thanks for the reply.
I agree it was on the previous version but after the upgrade i do not see the sendslx button on creation of a new email or on the reply window for that matter. I have been having to use the RecordToHistory button after i send the email to record it in history. Is there a reason why the button is not showing and is there a way to make it appear? |

| No, there's no reason - however, if you shutdown SLX and Outlook (ensure it's gone via TaskMgr) then go into c:\pf\saleslogix and run the installoutlookintegration.bat file - this should fix it. Make sure you only have 2 files slmn.dll and slxab32.dll in the same folder and delete the older ones if they exist anywhere else (like c:\windows\system32). |

I did what you said and the button dint show up. I finally figured that my outlook is configured to use windows word as default editor and when i use the ms outlook HTML editor the button shows up. Thanks for your help.
