We are planning to upgrade our current v6.1 saleslogix version to 7.2 prior to doing so there is a requirement for us to re-install 6.1 on a test server. Is there any system requirements for 6.1 and any installation documentation for this version? We have purchased a new server for 7.2 and have the necessary system requirements for 7.2 but not 6.1.

If the new server meets the requirements for 7.2, then it exceeds the requirements for 6.1.

Typically, the SLX Server should have all of the PDF documentation installed on it. If you have the 6.1 Install CDs or a copies of them, you should have all the documentation.

All you need is the database backed up, [properly] restored to new server and then you need to install the SLX OLEDBProvider for 6.1 - you *do* need this - so you will need the original media. You don't have to do a full install (just the provider will do) - it's just so that it can connect to system db via provider.
