I am just trying to put together a test for an upgrade from Version 6.2.3 to 7.5. I have restored a copy of my database onto SQL 2005, set up my connection to the database in Connection manager. When I try to log into admin & client, I get the error. I saw an article poster on here that sounded like people were suggesting to run the syncserver, but we do not have any remote clients, so I don't think that would apply. Besides, I cannot open the sync server manager, when I try to log into that I get the message 'Error attemtpting to log into database. Invalid Column name 'Caption'. I have gone through the upgrade documentation, and have no idea what I am missing. ANyone have any ideas?

Aren't you following the SalesLogix procedure for 6.2.x to 7.5.0 upgrade process? You don't need to move to SQL2005 to do an upgrade to 7.5.

You need to convert your database using the conversion routine provided on DVD - you need to install 6.2 *first* - you can't run 7.5 from new with your database at this level.
It needs the provider to run the conversion. Then you upgrade to 7.5.

It's in the 6.2 to 7.0 bundle (added as part of the conversion)

TableNameLOOKUP FieldNameCAPTION
