Hi,
we are planning an upgrade from 6.2.6 to version 7.

2 Questions:

1) which version would you recommend? 7.2 or 7.5? (existing bugs in 7.5?)

2) we are having tons of old (legacy) scripts and forms, which were replaced in further slx-versions by newer (VB) ones. plus we have many many not used stuff so I was thinking about installing a brand new SQL and migrating all the needed forms / scripts / data afterwards.
Do you think this is a good idea or should we stick to "Update 6.2.6"? Sure, it is more easy, but than the old data will be still there.

Thanks!

To answer question #1, I would suggest you upgrade to 7.5 SP1.

On question #2, I may suggest a similar but slightly different approach:
- Create a copy of your current Database
- Remove all your legacy plugins by deleting the rows from the plugin table.
- Verify that the system is functional and no issues got introduced
- Go through your Upgrade Plan

Thanks for this suggestion, i will think about it. The idea came up to totally clean up the system from: unneeded tables, picklists, forms, scripts et et , that's why I was thinking about this radical approach

Either approach is valid.

I have "upgraded" systems on which we pretty much re-implemented the Customizations, so it depends on what you think may take the less effort while generating an acceptable result.
