I work in a very tightly regulated environment and I have some questions on the 5.2 to 7.0.1 upgrade.

We have multiple instances of Saleslogix (all licensed) for our different business units and we are in the process of a server consolidation. So we currently have two Saleslogix databases v5.2 on the same server and we will be taking one off of that server and moving it to a new v7.0.1 environment. My plan is to follow preperation guidelines in the Sage upgrade document, then apply the bundles to the database, then take a backup of the database and move the database into an existing v7.0.1 environment.

Does anyone see any problem with this?

You don't apply bundles to the database until you are in the 7.x environment (you can upgrade straight from 5.2 to 7.01). What I would do is take the database itself into a virtual (or separate) environment. Then do the upgrade, then move that database to the 7.01 environ.
