Sorry for the long post...

We are planning to install SLX 6.2.6 before the DST change in the USA on 11 March, and would like confirmation that what we are planning is the best way to proceed.

We want to upgrade the servers and clients separately, as we cannot do them all at the same time. Is there a suggested sequence to follow?

e.g.

a) Upgrade Servers to 6.2.6 then upgrade Clients
b) Upgrade Clients to 6.2.6 then upgrade Servers

What about the Sync Servers? We cannot test this area as we don’t have a test environment with a Sync Server.

FYI we are not releasing any of the 6.2.6 plugins, we will merge our customisations into them later.

We are currently on 6.2.3, and we have tested a 6.2.3 Client connecting to a database through a data connection on a server with the 6.2.6 upgrade installed, and also the other way around, so we are fairly sure either way would be OK, but would like any advice please, especially with regard to Syncing Remote Offices and users.

Thanks

Just make sure you include ALL Schema changes from the bundle.. or you WILL have problems.

Otherwise go for it! and don't forget the HotFix (it's Sync related).
