fiogf49gjkf0d This question has probably been asked quite a bit, but does anyone know what the current target date is for the release of SP2? I'm testing out an upgrade to 7.0.1, but I'd like to see if its worthwhile to wait until 7.2 comes out instead. |

Currently it's Beta 2 - "refreshed" -
As of this past Tuesday it's looking to be Mid June...
BUT could move out a little IF there are more changes.

It was supposed to be this week, but they decided to move to RC4 before going gold (as of 2 hours ago). It shouldn't be long now. |

I just got mail that said SLX 7.2 "will arrive in the coming weeks".
What are the system requirements OS, Office capatibility, etc. We aren't using web or remotes, or blackberries, or iPhones, or lodestones.
Basically, Do I need Vista?? or can I stick with XP.
We are on 6.2 and don't upgrade until the x.2 version comes out. Our office is a mish-mash of machines and I'd like to put out another reason to get all of our office network on the same OS and Office version.

The official release date for SLX 7.2 is Aug 10th.
You don't need Vista - it's (more or less) supported, but you don't need it. All Office versions supported by 6.2 are also supported by 7.2. Just a new version (not even a major version). |

It's a bit different than it used to be...
Now each operating company makes a decision as to when they will release.
Aug 10 is officially for North America only (yes.. it did come out Aug 10 and BP's have acess to download).
I have not seen the actual date as to when clients will see their DVD's but expect it to take several weeks.
Contact your local BP in other operating companies for an official date.
