Help.... I have 2 issues to address.... 1. I have a situation where I have to get ACT! 2008 data into SLX 6.2.6... Is there an easy way to do it, or a 3rd party solution that is quick and painless
2. I have acquired several users who use Goldmine 6.7 Corporate Edition. Also need to get data into SLX 6.2.6.... Will SLXimportwiz be enough???
TIA

Hi
Jim has already contacted me offline, but for the benefit of others the product that can handle this is Sage Migrator, which we developed in conjunction with Sage for migration of ACT and GoldMine data to SalesLogix, SageCRM and SageCRM.com.
Sage Migrator will handle issues such as duplication, linked documents, email with attachments (not all tpyes of email), and converting RTF formatted notes to plain text for SLX.
It might save you some time.

We recently migrated our Act 2006 to SalesLogix 7.2 using Sage Migrator. It took a couple of passes and a little assistance from David, but we got it done and I must say on balance, it was pretty painless.
It created the Accounts we needed from Act Contacts just fine (although we chose not to migrate Act Companies). All history and activities came over fine. We needed a few custom fields in SLX to capture all our Act Contact data, but that was no big deal. The only niggle is that old emails came across as Documents in SLX, but over time this will be less of an issue.
I recommend it highly. |
