Importing Leads into SLX 7.5 WebYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

We went ahead and installed Saleslogix 7.5 on a test environment and when we select the import leads button (tools >> Import Leads) on the web version we receive the following error:

Error Initializing import manager. Import configuration not found for entity ILead.

Please let us know if you have any ideas on how to fix.

Thanks,
Norman

I can tell you that import absolutely does work..

A - Was this an upgrade?

B - If A then did you follow the Saleslogix instructions exactly?

C - Have you ever implemented (post v7.2.0) SalesLogix web before?

Something was missed. I suggest you check everything again.

Yes this was an upgrade from slx 6.2.6 and I went ahead and followed the instructions again - with the same results...

We went straight from 6.2.6 to 7.5 should we have looked into upgrading to 7.2 and then to 7.5?

Please let me know if you have any other ideas.

Thanks,
Norman

You followed the specific instructions on 6.2.x to 7.5 - right?

You created the WebDLL user exactly the way it was supposed to be created?

You restored the VFS from a 7.5.0 project backup as specified in the docs?

There are no customizations in your 7.5.0 web?

If you have done exactly as what the Sage docs say, it just works.

Otherwise, I'd suggest you get a Web 7.5 Certified Engineer (from a BP) to help you.

Howdy Norman~
Did you find resolution to this error? I have the same error. I have did check all of the steps the RJ mentions. The only customization is a extension table off of Leads to store two additional fields. I do have a call into SAGE and they are working on it also.

any help is appreciated.

The database I was working with was missing some files out of it's internal VFS. From the Virtual File System Explorer, navigate to

VFS:\Configuration\Global folder. You should have an 'ImportConfigurations.xml', 'MergeConfiguration.xml', and ‘PotentialMatchConfiguration.xml'. If you don't have them, you can get them from a 7.5 eval database.

I am not sure why this happened since I did a restore of the VFS off the 7.5 install disk but the above did work.

Thanks to SAGE SDK.
